Highway Heroes

At Our Lady of Fatima School, we use the Little Highway Heroes (Early Years) and Highway Heroes (Primary Years) programs to support students’ social and emotional development and overall wellbeing. These curriculum-aligned, research-based resources focus on teaching practical, age-appropriate skills that help children thrive in both classroom and playground settings. They focus on supporting students to build competencies to travel the different ‘highways’ of life:

  • The Social Highway – Bullying & Teasing and Friends and Playground Resilience
  • The Learning Highway – Growth Mindset, Staying-power & Grit
  • The Emotional Highway – Feelings, Moods & Resilience

Delivered through fun, experiential learning, the program encourages students to explore real-life scenarios and build strategies that grow with them year by year. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, inquiry and intentional teaching, Highway Heroes supports our commitment to nurturing confident, resilient and socially capable learners.
